Children's Christmas Party

The helicopter squadrons on Tommy's base had their Children's Christmas Party on Saturday. This is such a fun time for kids with many crafts, games and activities. Lyla wanted to get her face painted as soon as we got there. They had about 10 pictures to choose from and Lyla chose the penguin. She sat so still for Becky to paint her face. Lyla never sits that still for me. I was impressed.

Here's the cookie Lyla decorated with frosting and sprinkles.
Lyla did the cupcake walk to get yet another treat.
She only ate the frosting and left the rest. She knows what's good.
Lyla isn't scared of Santa at all this year. She talked to him once while we were shopping last week and again at the party. She looks scared in the second picture, but that's just her "cheese" face that she does for pictures. That's the helicopter Tommy flies behind Santa. The party was in the hangar.
Lyla also made crafts such as the sticker nativity scene, reindeer food, and a foam picture frame. She played the snowman bean bag toss for a long time just like last year. She wanted to do the bouncy house but as soon as she got in there she wanted OUT! Maybe one day she will enjoy them.
