Introducing Caroline Elizabeth Morrow!
Born December 17th, 2010 at 2:15 PM
weight: 8 lbs. 3 ozs.
length: 20 inches
Caroline's due date was Christmas day, and I did not want to celebrate Christmas in the hospital so my doctor induced me on December 17th. We got to the hospital at 7:00AM, started the induction around 8:30, started having contractions around 10:30, got the WONDERFUL epidural at 11:00, relaxed until 2:00, pushed about three times, and there was baby Caroline. I think I have Stroller Strength to thank for my pushing skills. With Lyla, it took about 45 minutes of pushing, Caroline just took a couple of minutes or less.
They placed her on me while Tommy cut the cord. I just could not believe how beautiful and big she was. She has a head full of black hair and blue eyes.
I'm one proud mommy!
Tommy is such a proud dad.
Proud parents of baby Caroline
I could not believe she weighed 8 lbs. 3 ozs. Lyla weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. What a difference!
We delivered at St. Lukes hospital in Suite #1. We had Lyla in Suite #9. After Caroline was born they brought us apple juice with champagne glasses and strawberries. I thought this was a nice touch. I had not eaten since the night before except for a popsicle, so I scarfed it down while I waited for my real food.
The delivery nurse, Kim, gave Lyla her first bath. Her big sister Lyla & Nanas & Papas arrived just in time to see the bath.

Lyla was so excited to meet her little sister and wanted to hold her right away. Lyla was very gentle and gave her lots of kisses and hugs. Mom and Dad told me that as Lyla was walking towards our room to meet Caroline she said "I am so happy!" She has such a good heart.

Lyla gave Caroline a monkey lovey and Caroline gave Lyla a big sister photo album.

My wonderful friend Natalie came to visit us in the hospital and brought beautiful roses and balloons.

Ready to go home. We had her on Friday and went home Sunday at lunch time. She's wearing her Christmas outfit.
