Christmas Eve was the first full day we had by ourselves as a family of four since Caroline was born. Nana and Papa George had to get back to NC to celebrate Christmas with the rest of the family. As tired as we were, we tried to make Christmas Eve special for Lyla. We decorated cookies, put out reindeer food in the yard and Tommy even taught Lyla to peddle her tricycle without anyone pushing her.
Lyla loved the colored frosting and chocolate chips.
We made a cookie for Caroline too.
We left Santa a cookie from each of us. I'm sure you can guess that Tommy's is the helicopter. Since I'm not creative at all, mine just says Santa. The girls have the letters on theirs. Lyla added the sprinkles to hers. We decorated more, but we ate the rest ourselves.
Tommy helped Lyla draw a picture for Santa to leave with the milk and cookies. Santa thoroughly enjoyed the cookies and only left a couple of crumbs for Lyla to see.
