President's Day weekend welcomed in some hot Florida days. We had 80 degree weather and decided to head to the beach to let Lyla play. She always enjoys digging in the sand and chasing the water. She especially enjoyed finding shells on the beach and said she had a "collection." Because it was so sunny, Caroline hung out under the tent and enjoyed the ocean breeze.

Caroline is 2 months old!
Caroline had a great two month well-baby appointment. The doctor said she looked great and she called her a mellow baby. Caroline laid there and cooed through her whole visit with the doctor. But then we took her to immunizations for three shots and one oral immunization. As soon as the first needle when in her face turned bright red and she screamed like I've never heard before. Tommy could hear her from the waiting room where he and Lyla were. I picked Caroline up and she was calm within a minute. She's such a good baby. Here are her stats:
weight: 12 lbs 2 ozs.
length: 22 1/2"
head: 15 1/4
My how she is growing! Caroline is smiling and cooing all the time. She is such a happy baby! She nurses about every three hours. At night, I usually feed her at 7:30, put her to bed, and she wakes up once a night usually around 3:00 and then sleeps until 7:30 in the morning. I am very happy with that schedule. I was getting her up at 10:00 to eat before I went to bed, but she wouldn't eat much and it didn't seem to make a difference, so I decided to quit that for a while. I'd rather get up in the middle of the night since I don't have to go to work the next day and have more time with my hubby at night.
On February 14th, we moved Caroline into her own room to sleep in her big crib. She does great and I think we both sleep better. I start her head close to one end of the crib and by the time she wakes up she has scooted down to the other end. She is swaddled so I'm impressed that she can move that far just using her legs. She also likes to work one arm out sometimes and suck on her hand. Here are some pictures of Caroline at two months old:

Happy Valentine's Day!
Here are Lyla and Caroline on Valentine's Day morning wearing their pink and red. We gave the girls their presents first thing Valentine's morning. Lyla got the Charlie Brown Valentine's DVD and a heart full of M&M's. Caroline got the 5 Monkeys Jumping on the Bed book because her nursery has a monkey theme.
Caroline with one of her many Valentine's Day cards. I think this one was from Nana and Papa Morrow.
We had a big mail day on Valentine's Day. Lyla and Caroline got packages from Nana and Papa George and from my cousin Kim. Here is Caroline with some of her (and Lyla's) gifts.
Here is my cutie at a little over 7 weeks old.

Caroline's 1st Trip to NC
We made our first trip as a family of four to NC in February. Tommy's Grandma Owens passed away so we went to Kings Mountain for the funeral. Caroline got to meet most of Tommy's family while we were there.
Caroline with Kathryn, Tommy's sister
Caroline and Lyla with their cousins, Lexi and Max.
Snoozing with Nana Morrow
Meeting Grandpa and Grandma Morrow. Caroline fell asleep on his chest. Lyla did the same thing the first time he held her. I think his deep voice just shakes them to sleep. So precious!
Our family and Kathryn's family with their Grandparents.
I taught Lyla Zacchaeus Was a Wee Little Man a while ago, and here she is singing it with Papa and Nana Morrow. She's goofing off a little here though.
Here is a picture from our October visit with Grandma Owens. Ireally wish Caroline could've met her. We will miss her so much!
