Lyla Helps Carolina Win One!
Lyla wore her Carolina outfit today given to her by Nana and Papa George and Carolina beat NC State 93 to 76. I know Lyla's Papa George is happy about the win, but her Uncle Brad probably is not. Sorry Brad! She was really cute in her onesie and track pants.

I've Got To Do Better at Blogging!
Once again, I have not been keeping up with my blog. Not a whole lot has been going on though. Lyla's doing well, getting cuter everyday. She still doesn't like evenings too much and begs to go to bed around 7:00, but we make her wait until 7:30 usually. Tommy is building toy storage for her room, so that's what he's been doing. I haven't been doing too much but playing with Lyla & having lunch with friends throughout the week. Last week Lyla and I went to Gymboree to take a free class and see how we liked it. We both enjoyed ourselves, Lyla smiled a lot and enjoyed the other babies. However, when they told us the prices to join and go for a weekly class, I was shocked and doubt that we'll be going back. Here are some cute recent pictures of Lyla.
Get that camera out of my face mom!
Is this how a lady sits?
Splish splash, I love my bath!!
Great Grandma Watson gave her this cow outfit. It is so cute on Lyla.

Lyla's 7 Months Old
I can't believe Lyla is over 1/2 a year old now. She is growing so fast. She is 7 months old today. She was cute all day long. We went to church and she stayed in the nursery and was good as usual. She likes staying in the nursery (for now). Then we went to lunch, and did some shopping. We also played at home, and took some pictures of our cute 7 month old baby girl. Lyla is progressing well. She's trying to hard so crawl and gets frustrated with herself that she can't go forward yet. She goes backwards now. So far, no teeth, so I haven't experienced a teething baby yet. We'll definately let you know when she gets a tooth. Enjoy the pictures. I think this dress is from her Uncle Brad and Aunt Kelli. Forgive me if that's not right. It was so cute on her.

If You're Happy And You Know It...
Clap Your Hands!! We've been trying to teach Lyla to clap, and she finally did it. It was so cute! She has also learned to play peek-a-boo and she will cover her face with something and pull it down as we say peek-a-boo. We will try and get a video of that. It's more difficult to get her to do her tricks when there's a camera around.

Our Christmas and New Year
I am finally blogging about our Christmas. This is kind of long, so brace yourself.
Tommy, Lyla and I did our Christmas early this year before we left for North Carolina. We opened our presents the Sunday before Christmas. Lyla loves all the toys she received this year, but she really enjoyed the wrapping paper, tissue paper & boxes. Tommy and I gave Lyla a Fisher Price Laugh & Learn purse, Fisher Price blocks, a Soothing Sounds Seahorse & the Original Christmas cartoons DVD's (Frosty, Rudolph, etc.).

The next day, Monday, we left for NC. Our first stop was at Tommy's parents house in Kings Mountain. We spent Tuesday with Tommy's sister's family and his parents. We had so much fun playing with Lyla's cousins and opening presents.
My neice & nephew, Lexi & Max.

On Christmas Eve, we went and saw Grandma Jenny, went to the Christmas Eve service at church, and then went to the Morrow's to open presents with Tommy's extended family. Finally, Christmas morning arrived. Lyla opened her stocking from Papa & Nana Morrow.
Christmas afternoon, we left Tommy's family and headed to Durham to spend some time with my family. Our first stop was at Great Grandma & Grandpa Watson's house. Lyla wore her santa dress from Nana and Papa George.

The day after Christmas we went to Brad (my brother) and Kelli's house to open presents with them and my parents. Lyla met their dogs, Tempo & Dawson & their cat, Marty.

That night we had Christmas at my Great Grandma George's. There are a lot of kids on that side of the family, so it was a lot of fun. My cousin Sara and I both went to Appalachian, so she gave Lyla this cute ASU t-shirt & bib. Thanks Sara.

Lyla got some really fun toys. Here is Lyla and her Uncle Brad playing with the Spinnin Musical Zoo. She loves this toy.
My Dad went to Carolina, so he got Lyla this cute Carolina outfit, complete with bib, booties, and cute little warm up pants. We love Carolina basketball, so Lyla will definitely wear this outfit this basketball season. We didn't put it on her the other night and oops, Boston College beat them.
Lyla really enjoyed the tissue paper.
My cousins son, Adam, got a tool kit, so he was repairing Grandma's table. :)
Great Grandma George loved giving Lyla her bedtime bottle.
We spent a couple of days in Reidsville at my parent's house. Here is Lyla and Nana playing the piano and singing.
Lyla wore a a bib that said "I Love My Grandpa" while she hung out with her Papa.
We celebrated Tommy's birthday, which was on New Year's Eve.
When we left Reidsville, we went to my friend Stephanie's house. Her and Dion have a three month old named Dillon. Our good friends Jeremy and Jesse were there too. We ate, played with the babies and when they went to bed, we played Wii. I was having such a good time, that I forgot to take my camera out and take pictures. Thanks for having us over Steph!!
We really enjoyed seeing everyone over the Holidays and hope to see you again soon! Thanks for everything you did to make the Holidays special for us.
