Our Christmas and New Year

I am finally blogging about our Christmas. This is kind of long, so brace yourself.

Tommy, Lyla and I did our Christmas early this year before we left for North Carolina. We opened our presents the Sunday before Christmas. Lyla loves all the toys she received this year, but she really enjoyed the wrapping paper, tissue paper & boxes. Tommy and I gave Lyla a Fisher Price Laugh & Learn purse, Fisher Price blocks, a Soothing Sounds Seahorse & the Original Christmas cartoons DVD's (Frosty, Rudolph, etc.).
Oh, Tommy and I exchanged gifts too.

The next day, Monday, we left for NC. Our first stop was at Tommy's parents house in Kings Mountain. We spent Tuesday with Tommy's sister's family and his parents. We had so much fun playing with Lyla's cousins and opening presents.
My neice & nephew, Lexi & Max. On Christmas Eve, we went and saw Grandma Jenny, went to the Christmas Eve service at church, and then went to the Morrow's to open presents with Tommy's extended family. Finally, Christmas morning arrived. Lyla opened her stocking from Papa & Nana Morrow.
Christmas afternoon, we left Tommy's family and headed to Durham to spend some time with my family. Our first stop was at Great Grandma & Grandpa Watson's house. Lyla wore her santa dress from Nana and Papa George.
The day after Christmas we went to Brad (my brother) and Kelli's house to open presents with them and my parents. Lyla met their dogs, Tempo & Dawson & their cat, Marty.
Lyla got some really fun toys. Here is Lyla and her Uncle Brad playing with the Spinnin Musical Zoo. She loves this toy. My Dad went to Carolina, so he got Lyla this cute Carolina outfit, complete with bib, booties, and cute little warm up pants. We love Carolina basketball, so Lyla will definitely wear this outfit this basketball season. We didn't put it on her the other night and oops, Boston College beat them.

That night we had Christmas at my Great Grandma George's. There are a lot of kids on that side of the family, so it was a lot of fun. My cousin Sara and I both went to Appalachian, so she gave Lyla this cute ASU t-shirt & bib. Thanks Sara.

Lyla really enjoyed the tissue paper. My cousins son, Adam, got a tool kit, so he was repairing Grandma's table. :)Great Grandma George loved giving Lyla her bedtime bottle. We spent a couple of days in Reidsville at my parent's house. Here is Lyla and Nana playing the piano and singing.Lyla wore a a bib that said "I Love My Grandpa" while she hung out with her Papa. We celebrated Tommy's birthday, which was on New Year's Eve.
When we left Reidsville, we went to my friend Stephanie's house. Her and Dion have a three month old named Dillon. Our good friends Jeremy and Jesse were there too. We ate, played with the babies and when they went to bed, we played Wii. I was having such a good time, that I forgot to take my camera out and take pictures. Thanks for having us over Steph!!

We really enjoyed seeing everyone over the Holidays and hope to see you again soon! Thanks for everything you did to make the Holidays special for us.
