Last Trip Before Baby Arrives

Tommy, Lyla and I went to NC one last time before baby Caroline arrives. I will be too close to my due date to travel for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so we wanted to see everyone now. Our first stop was my Grandma George's house in Durham. Here are a few of my family members. Me, my cousin Sarah and her son Adam, my brother Brad, his daughter Skylar, Grandma George, my sister-in-law Kelli, and Lyla.

Lyla loves her Uncle Brad. She enjoyed reading books with him.
Lyla and Skylar having a night time snack.
This is my niece, Skylar. She is a cutie pie. She is a year younger than Lyla. I love the pig tails.
Is this picture crooked or is the swing leaning my way?
Lyla and Skylar spent a lot of time in Grandma's driveway putting rocks into a bucket. My Dad, the retired production manager, had then doing an assembly line at one point. He would hand Lyla a rock, she handed it to Skylar, and Skylar put it in the bucket.
My sister-in-law made this beautiful diaper cake for Caroline. It has many diapers and two bottles inside. It's so pretty I don't want to take it apart but I guess we will when we need the diapers.
Our second stop was my parents house in Reidsville. While we were there, Tommy and I left and spent a day and night in Greensboro. We rode bikes all day, ate out at Lucky 32, went to a movie and stayed in a great hotel called Proximity. It's the "greenest hotel in America." Greensboro has some wonderful biking trails. We rode about 20 miles and I felt it later that day. It was very nice and we enjoyed sleeping until we couldn't sleep anymore, which was only until about 8:00. The next day we had brunch at Print Works Bistro in the hotel which was delicious! Then did a little shopping and went back to our sweet Lyla.
Lyla had a blast at my parents house. I'm sure they played the entire time. She got to eat some treats and I tried not to fuss too much about it. She also helped Nana Swiffer the floors.
My Dad had to work some while we visited, but Nana went with us to the pumpkin patch in Ruffin. Lyla had a blast walking through the pumpkins, petting the animals, going through the corn maze, and going on a farm tour/hayride.
Lyla yelled for Diego while we tried to find our way through the maze. She thinks Diego can help in any situation.
Lyla wasn't too sure about the scare crow.
Lyla picked out a little pumpkin to take home. She wanted a big one, but we wanted to wait until we got back to Florida to buy the big one.
Nana George has a piano at her house and Lyla loves playing it. Here's a video of her singing Happy Birthday!

Our last stop was Nana and Papa Morrow's house in Kings Mountain. Nana and Papa gave Lyla a book "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." It's a Hallmark book where you record yourself reading. Now Lyla can hear Nana and Papa read to her whenever she wants.
The next day, we went to the playground so Lyla could show off her playground skills. She loves to slide.
We visited Grandma Owens while with Lyla's cousins Lexi & Max. We actually got them all to pose outside in front of this Fall scene.
Here the cousins are with Grandma Owens.
Max and Lyla did their best silly faces for the camera. Lexi and Grandma didn't want to be so silly.
Tommy's parents invited the family over for a cookout so we could see everyone while we were there. All the kids had so much fun playing in the yard. It was really good to see everyone.
Us with Grandma and Grandpa Morrow.
Us with Tommy's Grandparents, parents, sister and her kids.
Nana Morrow taught Lyla how to sing "I'm a Little Teapot."
