We packed up and headed to see my family in NC for Easter. Caroline had not met my extended family, just my parents, so this was an exciting trip. We stayed at my parents house and traveled to Durham for one day while we were there to visit my family.

We dyed Easter eggs at my mom and dad's house. This is the first year we did this I think, because Lyla was old enough to not break all the eggs. She did a great job and was very careful.
We tried to use the little wax thing to write the girls names on the eggs, but it didn't show up well in the pictures. Here are all the eggs drying.
She put all her eggs in one basket. Hee hee!
Then we decorated Easter cookies. This is definitely a holiday favorite thing to do for Lyla. She still enjoys the eating more than the decorating.
We were at my parent's house on Easter Sunday so we gave the girls their Easter baskets there. The Easter bunny brought Lyla a Dora ballet doll, Lyla size Dora ballet slippers, little flower seeds to plant, purple bubbles, Band Aids (of course) and a chocolate bunny. He brought Caroline a book that reads itself (which is a great help when she gets all worked up), Band-aids, Peeps, and Jelly Bellies. So, no she can't eat Peeps and Jelly Bellies, but the Easter Bunny had to put something in there.

That weekend we went to Durham and Caroline finally met her Uncle Brad. She loved him immediately as most kids do. This was the first time we had seen our niece Skylar in a while and she was so cute and had grown into such a sweet little girl. Not a baby anymore.

Caroline meeting Aunt Kelli for the first time. Her daughter Skylar handled it like a champ. Hardly acted jealous.

Caroline's first time meeting Great Grandma George. She sat so happily in the rocking chair with Grandma.

Caroline wearing her ruffle butts outfit. It makes for really cute tummy time!

My parents with all their grand babies.

The four of us outside at Grandma George's house.
Lyla and Skylar had a blast hunting Easter eggs. They don't see each other often, but they play so well together and always have fun.
Nana George hid the eggs for them.
Lyla loves being silly with Uncle Brad

We went to my Aunt Judy's house for dinner to meet my Mom's side of the family. The kids had an Easter egg hunt there and had so much fun. My Aunt Judy had little Easter bags for them to put all their eggs in.
