Our Halloween Costumes

Tommy dressed up as the Operation game for Halloween. I went as his nurse. Tommy made his costume. He is wearing a hospital gown with a fake butt in the back, but we didn't get a picture of it with our camera. We went to his squadron's Halloween party while Lyla stayed home with my parents.

Stroller Strength Halloween Pary

The Stroller Strength class I attend had a Halloween party for the kids. Lyla dressed up as a lady bug and had a great time at the party, with the exception of the group photo as you will see.
This is the only picture I got of her standing still. She wouldn't leave the hat on with the antennas, but she still looks cute.Playing with a big exercise ballLyla, you are too big for the bumbo seat. There was another lady bug at the party. Here they are together.Group picture of the kids. This was tough. Lyla was not a fan of the group picture.Lyla sat and "colored" for a while with William.

Everyday Life

We caught Lyla watching cartoons like this one evening. I think she takes after her Dad. This is how he spends his Sunday afternoons watching NASCAR and football, except his eyes are usually closed.
Everytime we go to Publix (it's a grocery store for all you North Carolinians) they give Lyla a balloon. If they don't, we ask for one because she loves it. I used to tell them no balloon because I didn't want to deal with it, but one day I gave in and realized how much she loves them. Now I use them as bribery during our shopping trip. She has to have it with her for at least the next hour. Here she is eating a snack with her balloon. Now that's a happy face.

Glamorous!

I took Lyla to Sweet & Sassy to get her second haircut yesterday. She didn't want to sit in the chair by herself like she did last time, but she did great with me holding her. They put glitter in her hair and put a purple glitter star on her cheek. They gave her a star lollipop to eat while getting her haircut, and she ate the whole thing. I didn't get any pictures of her while getting her haircut, but I remembered to take some once I put her in the car.

Nana & Papa Morrow Visit

Tommy's parents visited a couple of weekends ago. Lyla had fun playing with her Nana and Papa. They even babysat one night and let Tommy and I go on a much needed date. Thank you so much!!!

Lyla and Nana did each others hair. So cute! We went to the park and had a picnic and took a walk. Lyla did a good job of holding our hands and walking.

Fall Family Fun

Last weekend we went to Conner's A-maizing Acres in Hilliard to enjoy the 90 degree "Fall" weather. It doesn't make for great pumpkin patch pictures when everyone's wearing shorts and t-shirts, but we fun.

Here is "Miss Farmer" on her pink tractor.Lyla enjoyed sitting/riding on this green four wheeler. This goat wanted to climb out a get Lyla. I think he was hungry. Lyla really enjoyed seeing all the animals.Pointing to the rooster. We went on a hayride and this was Lyla's face when she saw all the cows. She kept clapping at the animals, it was really cute.We made our way through the corn maze. It took us a while, but we found all 10 posts and answered the questions to find our way out. It was so hot, the corn didn't provide much shade. Lyla squatting to look at the bunny.Pumpkin patch pictures.

Lyla's First Ear Infections

A few weeks ago all three Morrow's got sick. First, I had a sinus infection complete with fever and achiness. Next was Lyla who had ear infections, fever and cold. She was on antibiotics for the first time ever. She loved taking her medicine and gave her baby dolls medicine too. Tommy came down with a tiny cold, but didn't get too sick. We got a lot of extra cuddle time from Lyla that week.
